In the Senshu region of Osaka, towel production has been underway since 1887, utilizing the abundant water resources from the Senshu Mountains.
For over 135 years, this area has served as the cradle of Japan's towel industry, where towels have been meticulously crafted.
One of the distinctive features of Senshu Towels is the 'atozarashi' manufacturing method. After weaving with threads coated in raw silk glue, the fabric undergoes a process known as 'atozarashi,' which cleanses the cotton of its oils, impurities, and dirt in the final step.
This process not only ensures excellent absorbency but also promotes environmentally friendly towel production.
With this history nurtured alongside water, Senshu Towels excel in absorbency, are pleasantly lightweight and quick-drying, compact for easy storage, and practical for everyday use. Thus, 'Senshu Towels, Living Alongside Water,' was born, reflecting the desire to complement and enhance daily living.
