Yasuda Orimono specializes in weaving Tango silk crepe, a fabric that has been produced in the Tango region of northern Kyoto Prefecture for nearly 300 years. The workshop excels in weaving lightweight fabrics with a delightful translucent texture, known as 'ro' and 'sha,' which are particularly suitable for summer wear.
Using a unique technique called 'Karami-ori,' a skillful handcrafted weaving method, they artfully create spaces within the fabric, resulting in a distinctive texture and three-dimensional woven material with translucent sections.
In recent times, they have also expanded their expertise to fashion accessories, particularly focusing on elegant silk stoles. Yasuda Textile participates in international exhibitions, continuously evolving and expanding their exquisite product line."
