Kyo-Uchiwa represent the traditional Japanese fans from Kyoto, with a historical connection to the imperial court, where they were known as Gosho Uchiwa, or 'fans of the Imperial Palace.’ What sets this fan apart is the distinct separation of the handle and the upper body, resulting in a remarkably flat surface that allows for the perfect expression of intricate patterns.

The Shiomi Fan workshop introduces 'Kakusen,' a new series featuring square-shaped fans with rounded edges that charm with their unique designs.

These fans are more than just their unconventional shapes; they are meticulously crafted, showcasing intricate square cutouts that emphasize their distinctive characteristics.
