Hiyoshiya is a traditional Japanese umbrella workshop founded in the late Edo period
and the only workshop preserving the techniques of Kyoto-style wagasa (Japanese umbrellas).

Guided by the philosophy “Tradition is Continuing Innovation,” we not only carry on traditional craftsmanship
but also develop lighting products inspired by the structure of wagasa.

At the Hiyoshiya Online Shop, we introduce Hiyoshiya’s products along with carefully selected works by artisans from across Japan,
discovered by fifth-generation owner Kotaro Nishibori.

Through our group company, Hiyoshiya Craft-lab,
we also share the appeal of Japan’s traditional industries through interior design and consulting projects.
